There are broad trends in our time that are the direct result of past history. Among the many examples of such history that could be noted is the " OPiUM WAR " fought in China more than a century ago.
Opium war can be related in the events happening now a days. Corruption increases in our country and addiction of our some fellow men is increasing too. Some politicians, I heard in news were drug addicts and now imprisoned.
Countries that are involved in Opium war proved to the Chinese that they couldnt defend their own country against outside imperialist. And opium addictions soon spread across the country. Like in our country, some illegal drugs are imported to our country that can passby the government.
